All-Star Dance Academy’s award winning competition team is designed for dancers who love to dance, want to further their dance training& want to be part of a team.  The dancers will participate in competitions and conventions.

 

In order to have a cohesive company, certain expectations are required:

good attendance

arriving for classes on time

wearing the appropriate dance attire

ability to quickly learn choreography and apply corrections

willing to be a good role model for the studio

and more!

 

The Dance Team will be attending 4 regional and 1 national competition in the 2024-2025 season.

Ages as of January 1st, 2025

​

Shining Stars - Ages 5-7

Dance experience required

Must take ballet level 1+, jazz level 1+ and Shining Stars Team Class

Shining Stars will learn one team routine along with one company routine (with all the teams together)

Audition will be on May 19th from 10:00am-11:00am

Rising Stars - Ages 8-10

Dancers must be level 3 or higher in ballet and jazz

Must take ballet, jazz, jumps & turns, stretch & conditioning and Rising Stars Team Class

Rising Stars will learn two team routines along with one company routine (with all the teams together)

Audition will be on May 29th from 11:30am-12:30pm

Shooting Stars - Ages 11+

Dancers must be level 5 or higher in ballet and jazz

Must take ballet, jazz, jumps & turns, stretch & conditioning and Shooting Stars Team Class

Shooting Stars will learn two team routines along with one company routine (with all the teams together)

Audition will be on May 19th from 1:00-2:00pm

Auditions:

Auditions are required for our 2024-2025 Season

The audition is for us to see that the dancers are at the appropriate technical level and that they can pick up/perform choreography

Solos, duets, trios and select small groups will also be chosen from the audition

​

Dancers must bring their signed contract and a $25 deposit with them to the audition

Proper dance attire and jazz shoes are required

Team placements and extra routines will be announced on June 5th
